Don’t Underprice Yourself: How to Price Stickers on Twitch
Your viewers are there because they want to support you. Here’s how to price your stickers like you mean it.
A lot of streamers price their stickers like they’re apologizing for them. One Bit here, a few Bits there, because charging more feels awkward. If you’ve been wondering how to price stickers on Twitch, start with this: your viewers aren’t looking for the cheapest way to interact. They’re looking for a way to support you, and to be part of the moment while they do it. Here’s how to set prices that respect that.
Your viewers want to support you
Nobody has to send a sticker. Every sticker, Throwable and text-to-speech message on your stream is a viewer choosing to spend their Bits on you. They do it because they like what you make, they want you to keep making it, and it feels good to see their support land on screen.
That’s the part streamers forget when they price low. A sticker isn’t a toll your viewers have to pay. It’s a way for them to say thanks, out loud and in front of everyone. When the price is so low it barely registers, the moment barely registers either.
What pricing too low really costs you
- Support you never see. Viewers who would happily spend more often stop at what you asked for.
- Noise instead of moments. When a sticker costs next to nothing, it can turn into background spam, and the big reactions get lost in it.
- Less special, less fun. A sticker that took a little thought to send is one viewers pick for the right moment.
- Harder changes later. The longer a price sits too low, the bigger a raise feels when you finally make it.
How to price stickers on Twitch
Every sticker has its own Bits price, from Free up to 10,000 Bits, and you can change it whenever you like. The Stickers guide walks through where. A few ideas to set them with confidence:
- Build tiers. Keep a handful of everyday stickers at a low price so anyone can join in. Put your channel’s favorites in the middle. Save your best, loudest and funniest for the top.
- Price by impact. The bigger the moment a sticker creates, the more it should cost. A quick reaction and a full-screen takeover aren’t the same thing.
- Make your customs count. Stickers made from your own inside jokes are worth more to your community than anything generic. Price them like it.
- Change many at once. Quick Adjust in your dashboard sets the Bits price for every sticker you’ve filtered, so a full reprice takes a minute.
The same thinking works for everything else that costs Bits:
- Super Stickers are priced by length: you set a rate in Bits per second, so longer clips cost more. Raise the price on any clip that deserves premium pricing.
- A.I. text-to-speech puts a viewer’s message on stream in a character voice. A.I. voices start at 100 Bits and Standard voices at 50, but that’s a floor, not a target. See the A.I. TTS guide.
- Throwables have a price per throw, and you choose how many objects fly each time. A bigger barrage can carry a bigger price.
A simple ladder to start from
Not sure where to begin? Try a ladder like this for a week or two, then let your numbers tell you what to change. Every channel is different, so treat it as a starting point, not a rule:
- Everyday reactions: around 50 to 100 Bits. Low enough that anyone can join in, high enough that it still means something.
- Channel favorites: around 200 to 500 Bits. The stickers chat reaches for when something actually happens.
- Big moments: 1,000 Bits and up. Your loudest, funniest stickers and your longest Super Stickers.
Make a few stickers sub-only, too. It gives your subscribers something that’s just theirs, without changing what anyone else pays.
Let your numbers guide you
You don’t have to guess. Insights in your dashboard shows your Bits Activity, your Leaderboard and your Popular Stickers. The stickers your viewers send most are the ones they value most, so those are the first candidates for a higher price. Try a change for a week or two, watch what happens, and adjust from there.
Your prices, not anyone else’s
Don’t set your prices by copying another channel. A small, close community that knows you by name can support you at prices a huge channel never would, because the connection is the point. Look at your own chat, your own regulars and your own Insights, and price for the community you actually have.
Raise your prices without the awkwardness
- Tell chat what’s changing. A quick “new prices, new stickers” on stream beats a silent change.
- Pair it with something new. Launch a few new custom stickers or a new TTS voice at the same time.
- Keep an easy way in. A few low-priced stickers mean everyone can still join in.
- Thank people by name. Supporters who feel seen come back.
- Give the whole chat a win. When viewers fill the Party Meter, a Sticker Party makes every sticker free for 85 seconds.
You’re worth it
Your community shows up for you: your jokes, your energy, the way you make a stream feel like a hangout. Pricing your stickers fairly isn’t greedy. It gives the people who want to support you a way to do it that feels as big as the moment.
