# Alerts

Alerts are used to let you and the viewing audience know that stickers were used. There are two types of Alerts in Stream Stickers.

## Overlay Alerts

The Overlay Alert feature allows you to display a text overlay directly on your live stream window, making it useful for viewers watching in full-screen mode. Like Chat Alerts, you can customize the overlay message in the Message area.

Settings:

- **Top of Screen: **When enabled, the overlay message will appear at the top of the screen instead of the bottom.
- **Font Family:** Sets the Font of the text
- **Font Color:** Sets the inner color of the text.
- **Font Outline:** Sets the outer color of the text.
- **Font Size: **Adjusts the size of the text.

## Chat Alert

This feature displays a text alert in your chat room whenever a sticker is placed on your live stream. You can customize the alert message by editing the copy in the Message area using the following dynamic text options:

Settings:

- **#Bits:** Displays the number of bits used on the sticker.
- **#User: **Displays the name of the viewer who placed the sticker.
- **#Sticker: **Displays the name of the sticker that was placed.
